Give a little time

Help us maintain the tradition

The Barwick maypole would simply not exist without the hard work and dedication of the Maypole Trust committee, a select group of volunteers and the support of the local community. Maintaining the maypole tradition involves a wide range of skills, from the manual dextirity required preparing the garlands, to the manual labour involved carrying the pole.

Can you spare an hour or two?

Can you spare an hour or two to support your local community? Participating in the Trust’s work offers you the opportunity to play an important role in the village, meet (and socialise with) fellow residents, improve your physical fitness, and perhaps even become a part of local history!

To see how you can help, please contact us and we will be happy to give you further information. We especially welcome the support of newcomers to the village.
